FAQs

What is massage therapy?

Massage therapy is the practice of using hands-on techniques to manipulate muscles and soft tissues to relieve tension, reduce pain, and promote relaxation. It supports overall health by improving circulation and aiding recovery.

What is acupuncture and what should I expect during my first session?

Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and modern anatomical science. It involves the insertion of very fine, sterile, single-use needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote natural healing. It is highly effective for relieving chronic pain, muscle tension, stress, and anxiety.

What to expect:

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Your first visit begins with an initial consultation where our Licensed Acupuncturist will discuss your health history, assess your symptoms, and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
  • A Comfortable Experience: Acupuncture needles are extremely thin—about the width of a strand of hair—so insertion is typically painless. Most clients feel a sensation of deep relaxation, heavy warmth, or a dull ache once the needles are in place.
  • Rest and Recovery: You will rest comfortably for about 20 to 30 minutes with the needles in place. Many of our clients find this part of the treatment so relaxing that they fall asleep!

Do you offer Direct Billing?

We offer direct billing with a number of major insurance companies. Just keep in mind that whether your treatment is covered depends on your individual plan. If your insurance doesn’t approve the claim, we’ll simply ask you to pay at the time of your appointment.

Direct billing is available for your primary insurance provider. If you have a secondary plan, you’ll need to send in that claim yourself.

We will email you an invoice after each session so you can easily submit it.

When you fill out your Health History Form, we’ll collect your insurance details to get everything set up. If you’re unsure about what your plan covers, it’s a good idea to contact your insurance company directly—they’ll be able to guide you.
