What is massage therapy?

Massage Therapy manipulates soft tissues (connective tissue, muscle, tendons and ligaments) of the body in order to help alleviate stress in areas such as the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet. Massage can also aid with headaches and sports injuries such as sprains, strains and spasms.

By decreasing muscle resting tension, massage therapy helps to improve body function, increase circulation, promote relaxation and prevent and/or reduce pain.

FAQS

Do you offer direct billing?

Yes, we do.
Our clinic provides the convenience of direct billing to a wide array of insurance companies, streamlining the process for you. However, it’s important to note that claim approval is subject to the specifics of your insurance plan and policy. Should a claim be denied, we kindly request that the individual covered under the policy settle the payment for their treatment upfront. Rest assured, we will promptly email you an invoice at the conclusion of each treatment session, which you can then submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Are you all Registered Massage Therapists (RMT’s)?

Yes, we are all Registered Massage Therapists with a valid license number.

We are all experienced Registered Massage Therapists (RMT’s), obtaining our diplomas from Sutherland- Chan School and Centennial College. We are all in good standings and members of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) as well as the Registered Massage Therapist’s Association of Ontario (RMTAO).

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please be aware of our strict 72-hour cancellation policy, which applies from the moment of booking—even if the booking is made within the 72-hour window. In the event of a late cancellation or rescheduling, a fee equivalent to 75% of the treatment cost will be charged, while no-shows will incur a charge of 100% of the treatment fee. These fees must be settled prior to scheduling any future appointments.

Should you arrive late, please note that your session will conclude at the originally scheduled time, with no adjustment to the fee. Additionally, if you fail to arrive or notify us within 15 minutes of your appointment start time, your appointment will be deemed forfeited. We implement these policies to ensure that every client receives the best care and attention possible, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Do you offer discounts or packages?

Sorry, we do not.

Can anyone receive massage therapy?

Yes, massage therapy is appropriate for individuals of all ages, including infants, children, and the elderly; however, there are some conditions for which massage therapy is not appropriate.  A qualified Massage Therapist (RMT or MT) is trained to recognize these cases.

Many Massage Therapists treat a variety of diseases and disorders while other Massage Therapists concentrate on certain conditions (i.e. fibromyalgia) or groups of people such as athletes, performers, women during pregnancy (including labour and delivery), infants and children. When booking your first consultation, be sure that the Massage Therapist is the right choice for you.

Do you offer couples massage?

Sorry, we do not.
However, we have two separate rooms if you’d like to come in at the same time.
